Privacy Policy
Last updated 3 July 2026
This policy explains what we do with your personal data when you order from rankyourdad.com. We keep it to the minimum needed to take your order, make your mug and get it to you. rankyourdad.com is run by Elliot Robinson (“we”, “us”), a sole trader in the United Kingdom and the data controller for your information. Email hello@rankyourdad.com with any questions, or to request our postal address.
1. What we collect
When you order we collect your name, email address, shipping address and the details of your order (rank, category and color). Our payment provider collects your payment details directly; we receive confirmation of payment but not your full card number.
2. Why we use it
We use your data to take payment, produce and ship your mug, send your receipt and order updates, and handle any support or refund requests. The legal basis is performance of our contract with you, and our legitimate interest in running the shop and keeping records.
3. Who we share it with
We share only what is necessary with the companies that help us run the shop:
- Stripe, to take and process your payment.
- Our print and fulfillment partner, to print your mug and ship it to your address.
- Our hosting and email providers, to run the site and email you.
These providers act on our instructions. We do not sell your personal data.
4. International transfers
Because your mug can be printed in the facility closest to you, your shipping details may be processed outside your country. Where that happens, we rely on our providers’ safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, to protect your data.
5. How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as needed to fulfill your order and to meet our legal and accounting obligations, then delete or anonymize them.
6. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, or to restrict or object to how we use it. Email hello@rankyourdad.com and we will respond. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office).
7. Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to make the site and checkout work. We do not use them to track you across other websites.
